Welcoming Week Outdoor Movie: Peace by Chocolate

Location: Nodwell Park, Port Elgin 

Community outdoor screening of Peace by Chocolate, a film based on the true story of Syrian refugees who settled in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and built a successful chocolate business.  Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs

Welcoming Week at Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre 

Date: September 12 
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Hosted by YMCA Grey Bruce Immigrant Services and Bruce County Public Library. 

Activities include: 

• Information on newcomer resources and supports 
• Interactive activities 
• New resident packages 
• Workplace and school support information 
• Library card registration 
• Drop-in craft activity exploring themes of welcome and community 
• Coffee, tea, and refreshments
